Fatima Diallo
Fatima Diallo is a constitutional lawyer and a legal anthropologist. At the outset of her career, she worked as a junior researcher in the Senegalese team of Afrobarometer Network involved in social research on democracy and governance in Africa. This, as well as her involvement in the Council for the Development of Social Sciences in Africa (CODESRIA) stirred her interest in socio-legal research. She recently completed her PhD in Legal Anthropology at Leiden University in Netherlands that focuses on issues of management of legal and institutional pluralism and technologies of governance/resistance mobilized for state building in conflict zones. Diallo joined UCT in 2014 as senior research officer of the DST/Chair in Customary Law, Indigenous Values and Human Rights.
