The Bordeaux team prepared the first integration report presenting the traditional justice process in Burundi by the Bashigantahe.
The report deals with family and neighborhood conflicts and the procedures put in place by the Bashingantahe to establish a parallel system to the State one that allows small disputes to be settled, especially in rural areas.
The research aims to analyze the coexistence of the two legal systems and to determine the interactions between them.
